USE OF VISUALS

Use visuals only if they improve clarity

Choose images that are free of clutter and distraction

Use simple and culturally sensitive images and pictures

Avoid childlike images or cartoons - or complicated graphs

Use captions to avoid ambiguity

Avoid separating the caption from the related image

Use visual cues to highlight the most important information

- such as arrows or bold colours

Use strong attractive colours rather than pastels shades
