DESIGN & LAYOUT

Use a minimum 12-point type

Use simple typefaces with a serif whenever possible

Keep paragraphs justified to the left - and unjustified to the right

Use lots of white space between each section

Use double spacing and generous margins

Use bold type or underline for emphasis  - not CAPITALS

Vary headings (and sub-headings) by using both upper and lower case

Avoid the continuous use of italics or capitals in large blocks of text

Avoid reversing-out any small text
